Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LPL Financial.
Analyst
It was a good experience overall. They asked me some "Tell me about a time you..." questions. They were open to my questions. We discussed the job and what's expected.
- Can you share an example of a time when you...?
- What is a weakness you have?
- Describe a situation from a previous workplace.
Analyst
The interview process was really disorganized and they didn't communicate much. They took almost 2 months to send a rejection. The hiring team felt cold, like they were just going through the motions and already planned to hire internally. From what I gathered, it's probably for the best, as the culture seems depressing, and this is coming from someone at a traditional bank.
- Can you tell me about a project you're particularly proud of?
- How experienced are you with creating slide presentations?
Technical Analyst
The interviewers seemed unsure about what they were looking for and appeared intimidated by my background. I didn't get to meet the manager, only peer interviews, which was disappointing. The recruiters were friendly but didn't seem to grasp the roles they were recruiting for and don't value candidates with actual industry experience. They also post many ghost jobs that end up being a waste of time, offering no feedback to candidates.
- Can you tell me about your experience at your previous company?
