Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LPL Financial.
Executive Administrative Assistant
The interview process was all over the place! I applied for an EA role and the recruiter first contacted me. At the start of the interview, the recruiter mentioned that while the initial plan was to interview for the EA role, the hiring manager was specifically looking for someone with experience at LPL Financial. Because of this, they decided to interview me for a different Executive Admin role, only to inform me later that they were interviewing candidates from an "interviewing pool."
- How would you assist a client visiting the office?
- What is the first action you would take prior to a client's arrival?
Administrative Assistant
The interview process felt really disorganized. The advisor I was speaking with was late, and they even took a 5-minute phone call during our conversation. They seemed unprepared, making up questions as we went. They did explain a bit about the business - it's a small office that uses the LPL platform, but the job isn't with LPL Financial. They wanted me to interview another advisor there, but then just abruptly ended our talk, saying that was all they needed to know and thanks for coming in. Overall, it was unprofessional.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What are your hobbies?
- Tell me about your previous job.
Administrative Assistant
I applied online and then got a call for a phone interview. After that, I was asked to come in for a one-on-one interview at the office. Everyone was really nice, and they got back to me pretty quickly.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
