I first chatted with the hiring manager and her team through a recruiter. Setting up the initial in-person meeting was pretty easy, no major hassle. We met at their office, and I had detailed discussions with two different groups about my background and what the job entails. They asked some technical questions relevant to the role. We also had a good chat about our views on the business's mid-term outlook.

The interview process was well-structured. The discussion moved quickly, but it felt like a normal conversation, which matched the Sales & Trading vibe. The interviewer was mainly interested in my knowledge of the market, asked some behavioral questions, and checked my understanding of equities and current macro trends. They were definitely evaluating if I had the technical skills and if I'd fit in, particularly if I could handle pressure and communicate well. It felt like a tough but honest competition.

This was for the Risk Placement Year. It was selective for the Online Assessment, but then it was a smooth interview with the team. The process included a 1st Telephone interview, followed by a 2nd Zoom interview, and then a Final Assessment Centre. The AC consisted of 3 interviews: 1 with HR, 1 with an Analyst & MD, and 1 with the Global Head and MD. It wasn't very technical, but there were a few questions on Python and Excel.

Behavioral Technical

Had 3 rounds of interviews over zoom with VPs, MDs, and analysts. The first round was a behavioral interview with an MD, and the second round was a technical and behavioral interview with VPs and Associates. The overall process was great, and they asked standard questions for these kinds of interviews, including some unexpected questions about LBOs.
