Behavioral Technical

The interview process was well-structured. The discussion moved quickly, but it felt like a normal conversation, which matched the Sales & Trading vibe. The interviewer was mainly interested in my knowledge of the market, asked some behavioral questions, and checked my understanding of equities and current macro trends. They were definitely evaluating if I had the technical skills and if I'd fit in, particularly if I could handle pressure and communicate well. It felt like a tough but honest competition.

It was an online interview, part of campus recruiting. There was an associate round that lasted about 30 minutes total. First, 10 mins on HR questions like "tell me about yourself," "why IB," and "why Jefferies." Then, another 10 mins to go over points on my CV. Finally, 10 mins on technical questions, like how changes in a financial statement line item affect the statements.
