First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jefferies.
IT Analyst
First, you'll need to pass a coding test. After that, there's a scheduled in-person interview. It's a two-to-one interview, about an hour long, with time for Q&A at the end. They cover your travel costs.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in our firm?
- What makes you want this specific role?
- Tell me about a time when...
Technology Analyst
It was a pretty short process, starting with a 30-minute phone screen. After that, there were three 20-minute interviews during the superday. They asked a mix of technical and fit questions throughout the phone screen and superday. The whole thing wrapped up in about a week.
- Can you explain strings, arrays, and pseudocode?
- Do you have experience with brain teasers?
- Tell me about your competency in certain areas.
Business Analyst
I went through 5 interviews for this role. The first 4 interviews seemed to go really well, but the last one felt off. The whole thing took about a month. Someone I knew there told me they were probably going to pick someone internal and I felt like I was led on. After the final interview, I was completely ghosted by the company, even after I followed up multiple times. It was pretty unprofessional, and I wouldn't want to work for a company that wastes people's time like that.
- What's your reason for wanting to leave your current job?
