I had a phone screening interview. The connection was really bad and kept cutting out, and they didn't seem to care when I mentioned it. They also rudely told me I didn't have enough supervisory experience, even though the job ad didn't specify any required years, and I have more than 2 years in retail. If they need supervisory experience, they should put that in the job ad, which they still haven't. All in all, the interviewer was rude and judgmental, and it made me not want to apply for any more roles at the company.

I had an interview for a Merchandiser role. One of the heads of merchandising was quite rude and patronising, which was a big red flag for me about the work environment. He kept interrupting me when I answered his questions, and it felt like he was trying to show dominance. I never heard back after the interview, even though I travelled to their office. Honestly, I wouldn't have wanted the job even if they had offered it.

The recruiter was 10 minutes late for the call, explaining he forgot to send a Teams link despite the invite stating it was a telephone interview. He mentioned the company's new ATS made it hard to see email templates. After brief, unengaged small talk, he made several assumptions about my experience, location, and career goals without asking any questions. He stated the 'Senior' TA role was actually mid-level with an unsuitable salary given my background as a 'Talent Lead'. He noted my 5 years of remote work contrasted with the role's requirement of 4 days in the office. He also mentioned my experience recruiting technical roles differed from their need to recruit for operations, sales, and finance. He didn't inquire about my reasons for seeking new employment, my current situation, or my expectations. The entire call lasted only 6 minutes, though it was scheduled for 30. The candidate experience was exceptionally poor.
