Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JD Group.
Assistant Store Manager
The interview involved answering 10 questions via video recordings. Each response had a strict 2-minute limit, with only one recording allowed per question. There was a brief pause to read the question before the recording started automatically.
- Why are you interested in working at JD?
- What are your thoughts on teamwork?
- What KPIs have you worked with?
Store Manager
The process was very long and the dynamics were ambiguous. They ended up selecting personnel who were clearly conflictive and, effectively, they only lasted a month in the company. The candidate decision method should be improved, because in the group dynamics, there were clearly conflictive candidates who were selected, and obviously, after a month, they had to leave the company.
- What can you contribute to the company?
- Why JD?
Store Manager
The interview process was efficient and productive, I gained a lot of information regarding the business and the way they progress their people, whilst also feeling challenges regarding my current and previous experiences.
- Tell me about your people management experience.
- How do you approach KPI processes?
- Describe your experience with commercial decision making.
