Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JD Group.
Sales Assistant
It was a really chill vibe. About 15 of us, mostly uni-aged people, were there. We did some activities like selling products, introducing ourselves, and making connections with others. We also had to fill out a sheet about customer service experience and other questions.
- What did you want to be when you were a kid?
- As a pair, tell me why your partner would be a good fit for this job.
- Given these shoe products, can you sell one to me?
Sales
It was a smooth and quick interview process. I really enjoyed it. Everything was done fast with all the paperwork. The manager was very laid back and helpful, which definitely helped with nerves and anxiety.
- What makes you want to work for this company?
Sales Assistant
It was an interview with the manager and one other applicant, the manager was friendly. But I am not a fan of the interview style, it started with written questions in the office, then we had to pick shoes and a fit for a theoretical customer. Finally, we were asked why you want to work for JD and what you would do if you got £5 million today.
- What is your availability for work?
- Can you give an example of a time you demonstrated good customer service?
- How would you define good customer service?
