First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jabil.
Debug Technician
For an entry-level role, this interview is generally easy to pass if you prepare the basic stuff well. You should focus on Linux fundamentals, like common commands (ls, cd, grep, chmod, ps, top), file permissions, processes, and basic networking. Also, know about server hardware parts identification: CPU, RAM, hard disk/SSD, power supply, NIC, RAID, and cooling components. Be ready for resume-based questions, where they'll ask you to explain projects, tools, and technologies you've listed. Clear explanations and knowing the basics are usually enough.
- Can you discuss Linux commands such as grep and ssh?
New Product Engineer
My interview process wasn't followed up on properly, as on several occasions the scheduled appointment was just postponed without actually happening. In the end, the interview never took place, and I wasn't given a clear reason or justification by HR. This lack of communication and seriousness created uncertainty and a unprofessional experience, showing a deficiency in how they handled the selection process.
- Wasn't it given, did they say the interviewer was unwell or something like that?
ME Engineer
The whole process took about a month. The first week was for the HR resume review, the second week was for the hiring manager review. Then there was a week of waiting for the actual interview, and the final week was spent waiting for the results. You need to be well-prepared before the interview. In my case, they didn't ask about my projects but instead asked about the company, PCB knowledge, and some behavioral questions.
- Can you tell me what you know about Jabil?
- What is your knowledge about PCB?
- Tell me about your projects.
Quality Inspector
First, you apply online. Make sure you have some matching experience to get noticed. Then, there's an onsite aptitude test at their Waterford facility covering basic calculations, reading scales, visual differentiation, and reading skills. After that, you'll have an interview at the Waterford facility. They'll also do a reference check, needing at least two contacts, whom they'll email and call. Next is a pre-employment medical, including a drug test, physical test, lung test, vision test, and hearing test. They'll also do a VISA/Permit check before finally offering a contract.
- Can you describe a typical day in your previous role?
- Describe an instance where you identified a problem and how you resolved it.
- What is your understanding of our company?
