Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jabil.
Senior Recruiter
The interview process was quite straightforward. I had an initial phone screen followed by a video call. I applied for a lead role but ended up being interviewed for a senior recruiter position since they didn't really need leads. The pay was good, but the expected workload would have been immense. I ultimately decided to step away, feeling grateful but a bit perplexed about why they interviewed me given my lack of experience in their required field.
- Can you tell me about the proportion of your recruiting experience that has focused on sourcing?
Recruiter
The interview process was straightforward. I had meetings over two days. The first day involved the Talent Acquisition Manager and three Recruiters. On the second day, I met with the Talent Acquisition Manager again, along with the Director of Executive Recruiting. The atmosphere was very relaxed and informal, making it quite comfortable and not intimidating.
- What makes you stand out from other recruiters?
- Can you share some creative sourcing methods you've used before?
Senior Recruiter
My interview experience with Jabil was really good. They got in touch within 2 days after I applied. First, there was a phone screen where the recruiter gave me the lowdown on the company, the specific job location, and the role itself. They also chatted about the company vibe, which was super helpful. I heard back the next day to set up an onsite interview, which was about a week and a half away. At the onsite, I chatted with the director. She asked me about my background, the tools I've used, how I tracked performance, and other stuff relevant to recruiting. She also wanted to know why I was keen on Jabil and what I knew about them. Then, she explained her own job and how it would connect with mine, talking about how she leads her team and future plans. She said I'd hear back in about a week. A week later, they let me know they liked me but were waiting to hire a manager first. A month passed, and the recruiter checked in. A week after that, I got the offer. The whole thing was pretty smooth and they kept me in the loop really well. I liked how open they were and how they explained everything at each step.
- Can you elaborate on your experience and the metrics you've handled?
- Could you discuss your experience with different systems and the metrics you've used?
- What motivated your interest in Jabil?
