It was technically straightforward. The focus was on IT experience and past work to gauge attitude and motivation. Important note: medium-advanced English proficiency is required as the work is international. 1st getting-to-know-you with HR. 2nd interview with SOC Manager and Head of Security. 3rd interview with the Director of Threat Intelligence in the USA.

I applied through Indeed and was contacted by Everi Staffing Agency about two weeks later. After a phone interview, I was informed my application would be forwarded to the IGT team. The Art Director and another staff artist reviewed my portfolio and LinkedIn profile. I received a rejection email the day after these reviews. Despite my prior experience at a casino game design studio, this role was below my previous title.

The interview took place at the IGT Reno Campus with 2 interviewers (one Staff and one Senior). It started with a 'tell us who you are' question, followed by questions about my resume focusing on technologies and projects. Then, there was a coding question. I was told to wait two weeks for HR and was completely ghosted afterwards, even when I sent a follow-up email.

It wasn't a typical algorithm interview. It was more of a chat. We talked about HTML, then CSS, then JS, and then my framework of choice. Mostly conversational questions like, 'Flex shorthand properties?', 'REST API short definition?', 'Stacking context?', 'Semantic HTML.', 'Difference between X and Y? (v-if, v-show in my case)'.
