I had 5 long interviews with everyone from SVP, Hiring Manager and other managers from the same department. I also had to do 2 work assignments that were very time consuming. I was told by my recruiter that I would be getting an offer in the next week. After following up a few times I never heard back from anyone including the recruiter. After all of my time and effort it was very disrespectful to not reply to one follow up email or call. I took time off of my current job to make all of this work and they cannot respond with anything. The word I would use to describe Huntington is unprofessional and rude.

It was a smooth process. First, an HR screen with typical screening questions. Then, an interview with the team manager/leader. Finally, an interview with another director/manager. Each interview was short, under 30 minutes. The questions mostly focused on the job description and my experience. Everyone I met was friendly.

It started with a chat with the recruiter, then I met with the hiring manager, two other people from the team, and the Sr. VP. It all felt really good, like I was a good fit for the job description. I also had to do a writing test which I think went well because the subject was something I knew a lot about from my last role. A week after my last interview, the recruiter let me know things were looking positive on their end, but that some people who needed to approve the offer were out of office on vacation and he expected to have news by Monday. Monday passed, and no news. I sent an email on Friday to check on the status. About 4-5 days later, the recruiter got back to me saying they decided to move forward with someone else for the role. The very next day, the job popped up again on LinkedIn and Indeed.

Applied and got an interview set up before the recruiter call. Wasn't able to ahold of the recruiter for more details until AN HOUR before the interview. Said it would be a call about my resume and projects, nothing including about technical questions/concepts or coding challenges. Joined the call with the structure of the call including technical questions/concepts and a coding challenge on a Coderpad-style website. Said I wasn't prepped and asked to push this to a different interview. Hiring manager on the call said maybe after they talk to all the candidates they would basically give me that other chance. Never been set up to fail in a interview as bad as this. Transparency on the process needs to be fixed.
