First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Guild.
Senior Manager
There were 5 interviews total. It started with a recruiter chat, then two interviews with team members, followed by one with the skip level manager, and ended with an interview with a cross-functional partner. The interviews were mostly focused on my work history, except for the one with the partner, which was a live case study.

Go-to-Market Role
I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. The process included a standard screening, a hiring manager interview, and then a project assignment. After submitting the assignment early, I waited a week and then received a rejection that was mostly a form letter with little specific feedback. Others in my network with strong qualifications experienced the same thing in subsequent weeks. It seems this position was posted before and has been reopened, suggesting it might not be a serious opening. Given the negative reviews, I'd advise against wasting your time.
- How would you manage several projects at the same time in this position?
Product Manager
I went through a really long interview process with Guild, with multiple rounds spread out over weeks and not much communication or context between them. The whole thing felt slow, disjointed, and honestly, I felt like they weren't very engaged. Every person I talked to asked the same scripted questions, making it feel more like a checklist than a real assessment of my problem-solving or product thinking skills. There wasn't much of a conversation, no real teamwork, and I had no idea who I'd be working with or what the job actually entailed. It all seemed way too formal, impersonal, and like they didn't respect my time. Super disappointing given how much they talk about people and purpose.
- Can you tell me about a product you worked on that was technically the most challenging?
Senior Associate
So first there was a recruiter screening call, then an interview with the hiring manager, then a panel interview where I had to present on a 4+ hour case study with 3-4 people, and after that, three more interviews. WARNING: THIS COMPANY GUILD IS TRYING TO GET FREE CONSULTING WORK FROM APPLICANTS BY MAKING YOU DO A 4+ HOUR CASE STUDY WHERE YOU SOLVE ONE OF THEIR BUSINESS PROBLEMS. They didn't even have the courtesy to explain why I was rejected after I finished the case study. I learned later from a friend that they never intended to hire for the Senior Associate position I applied for and actually used ideas from my case study. They essentially wasted weeks of my time with interviews just to get free work. DON'T DO THEIR CASE STUDY AND LEAVE. They are exploiting the current job market to get desperate job seekers to do free work for them. This is unethical and possibly illegal. Shame on Guild.
- Can you describe a situation where you collaborated with a cross-functional team?
