Operations Specialist
The interview process was super detailed, they told me exactly what to expect at each step. It was way too much though, felt like I was applying to the FBI. Started with a recruiter call, then a zoom meeting with an assistant manager. After that, there was a take-home project that took hours. The final step was a panel interview with 3 people. Honestly, it feels like a lot for this kind of job. Like others, I was fooled into thinking the interviewers really liked me. One manager said she was impressed with BOTH interviews and felt like I knew the answers before they were asked. Another manager said my answers were perfect. I was so sure I got the job, but then got an email 2 days later saying they picked someone else. It's crazy. What are they actually looking for? My guess is they don't hire if you're not white. I had a similar experience with this company before and was rejected then too. Back then, I noticed most employees were white. Look at their company photos. It's awful how they treat good candidates. The recruiter gave no feedback, so I asked a manager, who told me to ask the recruiter. What a waste of time.
- Standard STAR method questions asked.
- Behavioral based scenarios were covered.
- Nothing too intense from what I remember was asked.
Operations Specialist
Interviewing with Guild was a really great experience overall. The whole process took about 2-3 weeks. It began with a recruiter and manager call, followed by a take-home assignment. Then, I went on-site for an interview that lasted about 3.5 hours. This on-site part really gave me a good feel for the job and the team's vibe. It involved some shadowing and then structured interviews with various Guild folks, both from my potential team and other related teams. The on-site was awesome; everyone was friendly and welcoming. They were flexible enough for me to elaborate on my answers, but it was still a structured interview.

Operations Specialist
The whole thing took about a month from when I applied to when they let me know it wasn't going to work out. I applied online and then had a quick phone chat with someone from Talent Acquisition. A few days after that, I hopped on a Zoom call with the hiring manager. They gave me a writing task to do over the weekend. The last interview was pretty long, about three hours, and I talked with three people from the team. Everyone I met was really smart, nice, and seemed genuinely into their work. The interview questions were pretty standard, with a few "what if" type questions thrown in. A few days post-interview, I got a standard rejection email that said they didn't have any specific feedback. It's a bummer they can't share more feedback with people who make it to the final stage. They did ask me for my thoughts on the interview process twice, once through their system and now here.
- If a new process is implemented and you're worried about its scalability given company growth and increased student numbers, how would you address this concern or propose an alternative solution?
