Executive Assistant
A recruiter named Katie reached out to me through LinkedIn about this opportunity and I was so excited as Guild has been on my radar for some time. They are rated as one of the top employers in Denver. The entire experience was extremely positive, the interview process was efficient and seamless, and they worked very quickly after my initial phone screen. Within a matter of days, the recruiter scheduled several Zoom interviews. Everyone I conversed with was very dynamic and spoke very highly about their jobs and made the statement that they had found their "home" working for Guild. I want to surround myself with positive, hardworking, dynamic people like this and I like what Guild stands for and the product they offer. After every interview, my desire to be a part of this incredible organization intensified.

Executive Assistant
So basically, I had this phone screen with a Senior Recruiter, who was nice enough. It wasn't hard at all. She said she'd get back to me early next week since she had to chat with the EA who was moving to a new role. I totally had the qualifications, even had experience as a board liaison. She never got back to me, though. I had to chase her down over a week later. She then said they went with someone internal. I mentioned another EA job I saw, which was brand new, and she said that was filled the week before. Today, I got a LinkedIn alert for the same EA job again. It's been a really unpleasant experience overall. I even offered to take less salary because I wanted to be part of a mission-driven team.

Executive Assistant
I was referred to apply for the Executive Assistant role in Sept 2022. The interview process was quick, and I had a call with the recruiter that same week. She outlined the process: interviews with the hiring manager, two future coworkers, an HR rep, an Operations manager, and one to two executives I might support, plus a work sample. Initially, everything went smoothly and aligned with the description. After the final interview, I was told an offer would come in a few days, but it was radio silence. The next week, I contacted the recruiter, who promised a response by the end of the week, but again, no word. After three weeks, I emailed asking for a clear answer, understanding that business needs change. I received a call informing me the initial position went to someone else, but a second role would open soon. They said I'd be put in the queue and would only need to interview with another executive. I did that and was again told an offer was imminent and to expect it by week's end. This led to another three weeks of delays before I was finally told that upper management apparently disagreed with opening the position before Jan 2023. The recruiter asked to keep my application on file, which I agreed to. It's now past that time, and still no communication. This experience negatively impacted my view of Guild, despite believing in their mission. It seems like such poor communication is common. I wish them well but advise other applicants to be cautious, as this suggests internal priorities can be unstable.
