Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Guild.
Analyst
The interview process was amazing. Guild was super responsive and communicative throughout. I always knew what was happening next and when to expect an update. It started with an email for a general fit check with a recruiter, followed quickly by a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager. If that went well, I got a 3-hour project simulating the actual job. Passing that led to two more interviews: one with the team and another with the hiring manager. Finally, they asked for references, and hopefully, that's the last step before an offer. Every stage was a positive experience, and the people I met were great.
- Can you share examples of situations where you used the STAR method to answer questions?
Analyst
The interview process had many rounds, and it wasn't clear how many more rounds there were or if I had advanced to the next stage. In the end, I decided not to move forward because I accepted another offer.
- Could you provide a brief overview of yourself?
Analyst
The whole thing took about two months from the first chat to getting the offer. I initially applied for a senior role, but after the last stage, they said I didn't have enough experience. A few days later, they called me about a different position and set up two more interviews. After my final interview, they let me know the feedback was good the same day. The following week, they asked for references, and I got the offer that same week. The process generally goes like this: First, a 30-minute recruiter call. Then, a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager. After that, a take-home assessment. Next, a 1-hour call with a team member. The final rounds are all on one day and include a 2-hour interview. Then, another 1-hour interview with the hiring manager. Following that, I interviewed with two different teams for 30 minutes each, totaling an hour. If you pass all those, the very last step is providing references. It's quite a lengthy process overall.
