I had an initial interview with the recruiter, who was professional, transparent, and genuinely helpful. However, things got a bit confusing as I progressed. The job was advertised at $55,000, which is okay, but the expectations weren't clear. It was unclear if a license was needed for the job. The hiring manager said I'd handle about five clients, but someone who works there told me it could be up to 20. Also, work flexibility seemed different than expected. Account Managers are fully remote, but Account Coordinators have to be in the office three days a week, and this wasn't clearly stated at first. Because of these mixed signals and lack of clear information, I decided to pull my application. It would be good if the company made sure recruiters, hiring managers, and employees were on the same page to give candidates accurate and consistent expectations.

The interview process was confusing and felt disorganized. The HR representative scheduled the interview for one role, but when the call began she referenced a different position. When I tried to clarify, she stated the titles were “interchangeable,” even though they appear as separate roles with different descriptions on the company’s career site. The conversation then shifted to questions about experience in areas that were not listed as qualifications in either job posting, which made it difficult to understand which role the interview was actually for or how my background aligned with what they were seeking. After the call, I looked at other Glassdoor reviews and noticed similar feedback from candidates who said they were interviewed for roles different from the ones they originally applied to, which suggests this may not be an isolated issue. I also never heard back from the HR representative after the interview. Even if a candidate isn’t the right fit, companies that take the time to follow up and close the loop leave a much better impression than those that ghost applicants. Advice to Management: Ensure recruiters clearly understand the roles they are hiring for, keep interviews aligned with posted job descriptions, and provide basic follow-up communication to candidates after interviews.

I went through the whole interview process for the .NET Lead position and passed all the parts. They collected my documents, but then there was radio silence. My emails went unanswered, so I reached out to the recruiter. He mentioned budget constraints, which was unexpected since we discussed my salary expectations on the first call. He promised to check with HR and get back to me the next day, but again, no word. It took a lot of my time, and I feel the least they could do is let me know if they're not moving forward. This whole situation has been pretty unprofessional.

The interview happened a while ago. The chat with the Hiring Manager was alright, but it was overshadowed by the HR screening right before the in-person interview. HR was really unprofessional. They wanted to know which pre-university route I attended. It's an entry-level job and not even that well-paid. They were quite persistent in asking, especially when I tried to dodge the question once and was asked again. They seemed disappointed and less enthusiastic after I mentioned it's a mid-tier Junior College. Looking back, I'm glad I didn't get this job because I ended up finding a role that pays more than what they advertised for this position.
