Engineering Manager
Went through over 5 rounds of interviews. Got positive feedback all the way until the final meeting with senior leadership. The whole thing took weeks and a lot of back and forth. The hiring manager was good, potential direct reports were good, and we were even talking seriously about compensation with the hiring team. Then, out of nowhere, they said it wasn't a good fit. I saw the ad had been up for ages, and I suspect they might just post roles to look good to investors rather than genuinely hiring. It felt a bit weird, but honestly, I'm glad it didn't work out because I got a much better offer later on.
- The technical questions were a bit like asking for free consulting, made me wonder if they were just after ideas instead of assessing my skills.
- They even said the way I suggested to do things was way better than their current methods.
Sales
It was a 5 step process: first a recruiter call, then two different hiring managers, followed by a SE org interview, then a Sales Leader chat, and finally a presentation. At any stage, it could be a go/no go decision. The last step involved a 1-hour interview/presentation with a panel of three or four people, usually including a sales leader. A lot of time should be dedicated to preparing for the presentation, but it's questionable how worthwhile that prep is since anyone on the panel can disqualify you for various reasons. The panel asks tough questions and the objective can be unclear during the presentation. Given the high sales turnover at Forter, this process likely doesn't benefit either the company or the candidate. It might be a waste of time. On the positive side, the interviewers were great, had good conversations, and were open to my questions. The recruiter was also responsive and kept me informed.

Fraud Analyst
The process had 4 main stages. Between each stage, the HR rep called to update me. They didn't test programming or anything like that, just analytical thinking questions. The first stage was a 2-hour take-home test. The second stage was a 2-hour interview with a team leader. It included a 30-minute task, followed by questions about how I did the task, a description of the role, a bit about me, and a chance to ask questions about the job. The third stage was a 1.5-hour interview with 2 team leaders, with lots of short questions and tasks. The fourth stage was an HR interview, which was more like a classic interview with many questions about my background and resume.

Support Engineer
The interview process at Forter was really clear and respectful from start to finish. Recruiters were on top of things and kept me informed. Each part of the process was designed to check my skills and also give me a chance to learn about Forter. They had this case study that was pretty relevant, and the final panel interview was a standout. I liked how they looked at more than just technical stuff, also how I thought things through, managed my priorities, and communicated. Everyone I talked to was super nice, professional, and seemed genuinely into their work, which really showed me Forter's team vibe and how they're focused on their goals.
