It was a 5 step process: first a recruiter call, then two different hiring managers, followed by a SE org interview, then a Sales Leader chat, and finally a presentation. At any stage, it could be a go/no go decision. The last step involved a 1-hour interview/presentation with a panel of three or four people, usually including a sales leader. A lot of time should be dedicated to preparing for the presentation, but it's questionable how worthwhile that prep is since anyone on the panel can disqualify you for various reasons. The panel asks tough questions and the objective can be unclear during the presentation. Given the high sales turnover at Forter, this process likely doesn't benefit either the company or the candidate. It might be a waste of time. On the positive side, the interviewers were great, had good conversations, and were open to my questions. The recruiter was also responsive and kept me informed.

Had a bad experience with a senior recruiter from London. The hiring manager didn't show up for the interview. They said they'd reschedule but then disappeared and didn't reply to my emails. This recruiter isn't qualified, and Forter is unlucky to have such an irresponsible employee.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The interview didn't happen because the recruiter failed to show up.

The interview process was fantastic. After an initial phone screen with the sales manager, I was invited to an in person at their NY office. When I got the interview, I was greeted by the Head of HR. After speaking with her for about 20 mins, I talked with the Inside Sales Manager as well as the VP Sales. It was very informative and enjoyable. I was also asked to demo the software I currently sell and walk through how I approach sales. These guys know their stuff. Overall, a very thorough and authentic interview.

  • Can you demo the software you currently sell?
  • Can you walk me through your approach to sales?
