First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Forter.
Support Engineer
The interview process at Forter was really clear and respectful from start to finish. Recruiters were on top of things and kept me informed. Each part of the process was designed to check my skills and also give me a chance to learn about Forter. They had this case study that was pretty relevant, and the final panel interview was a standout. I liked how they looked at more than just technical stuff, also how I thought things through, managed my priorities, and communicated. Everyone I talked to was super nice, professional, and seemed genuinely into their work, which really showed me Forter's team vibe and how they're focused on their goals.
- If a customer told you Forter missed a fraud ring that resulted in $100K in approved fraud, what action would you take?
Senior Technical Support Engineer
The interview process was quick and they were flexible with scheduling around my availability, responding promptly. It was an efficient process overall, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and understanding. It was a smooth and positive experience.
- Tell me about how you think through problems and approach scenarios, including how you prioritize and make decisions.
- Can you describe your approach to situations, focusing on your thought process, prioritization, and decision-making skills?
Technical Support Specialist
I saw the Technical Support Specialist role on Otta, did some research, and found the company's cybersecurity work exciting. The first step was a call with the Senior Recruiter who talked about the job and its location. Next, the Technical Support Team Lead asked me 3 questions on bash scripting and Python during a call. I then got a take-home assignment, which made me feel like a serious candidate. I submitted it a day early. After 3 weeks of silence, the Senior Recruiter contacted me to say they'd reconsidered the hiring location, moving it from London to Tel-Aviv, and were no longer considering me. I was disappointed, feeling led on. They did provide feedback on my assignment when I asked, which was good. Overall, I felt they weren't serious about the role from the start.
- Answer 3 technical questions about Linux commands and shell scripting while on a call.
- Write a Python program to sort and restore file extensions within a 5-day deadline.
