The recruiter asked some screening questions from the hiring team. They mentioned there would be a written assessment later on. I didn't experience any pros during the process. The recruiter was dismissive, arrogant, and unprofessional, telling me it would be a 'waste of time.' The role seemed like glorified data entry, but the recruiter acted like I was underqualified, when I was actually way overqualified and could have done it easily. It felt like they wanted someone with no training, which indicates a project that's already messy. Knowing Fluor's past, mismanagement seems common, and this experience confirmed it. If this is how they treat candidates, it's a bad sign for how they treat employees. My advice is for management to stop recruiters from acting like gatekeepers and insulting candidates. Treat applicants with respect and focus on proper onboarding instead of just filling gaps in chaotic projects. Until management fixes its culture, good talent will keep leaving and the same issues will persist.

Then, the agent introduced me to the company, and I had two interviews. The first one was with three people, and the second was with the CEO. After the CEO interview, I felt pretty good about it, but it took them a full month to decide. The agent told me I was the top candidate and they were just going through the motions with another candidate. It felt like they were playing games with mixed messages. Ultimately, they told me the job went to someone who was an administrative assistant. This whole thing dragged on for a month and a half and was a waste of my time.
