& Process

First, I had a call with the recruiter, then got scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager. These calls were scheduled pretty close together because the recruiter said they needed to hire someone fast. The interview itself was fine, though I could tell the hiring manager was looking for a specific type of experience I didn't have, which is okay. My issue is with being ghosted afterwards. I know it's common, but it really shows the company's culture and how unprofessional and inconsiderate the recruiter was. Even a generic rejection email would have been better. It's been months and I still haven't gotten any official word.

I applied through my university and it seems like there were over 700 applications. We all took an online test on the CodeSignal platform. The assessment was an hour long and included multiple-choice questions and two coding problems. This test can be quite random; even if you do perfectly, you might not get through. Fortunately, I was shortlisted after this round, and there were about 90 of us left. Then, we had a group discussion with around 20-25 people in each group. After that, 60 people were selected. Next was a general written test (not coding related). Following this, 35 students moved forward, and I was one of them. Then, the technical interviews began, and everyone was interviewed. It was quite basic, mainly a discussion about my resume along with some HR-type questions. About 30 students also went for the HR round. I made it to the HR round, but in the end, only 10 out of 30 were selected. I unfortunately didn't make it past this final stage.

I was contacted by someone inexperienced who was managing a division of the partner ecosystem. While we initially had a decent rapport, there were several instances where he was inconsistent about compensation and objectives. I was asked to create a presentation for a role I was interviewing for, but it felt like the interviewer was only interested in extracting my knowledge and information. Consequently, I withdrew from the interview process. After reading numerous negative reviews, I'm relieved I did. I strongly advise avoiding the software side due to the evident incompetence of the team.

The interview process was divided into 4 parts. The first part included an online test assessment which was fairly easy. The second part consisted of the Group Discussion round which was pretty chaotic as it was a single session which included about 20-25 applicants all seated in a circle in a single conference room where about 4 of us proceded into the next round which was the technical interview round which had fairly easy questions that needed to be answered (all questions related to the fundamentals of programming). Some other questions that were asked were about the projects mentioned on my CV. The next round was the HR round which was more of a "getting to know you" kind of a round.
