The process kicked off with an online test featuring two easy coding questions on fundamental Data Structures and Algorithms. If you passed that, you'd move to a Group Discussion (GD) to show off your communication, logic, and clarity. After the GD, those who made it had a pen-and-paper test focusing on System Design, where you had to design a management system like a hospital or library, showing how you think about architecture, databases, and scaling. Lastly, if you got through the pen-and-paper part, you went to the Technical Interview, covering Core Java (OOPS), Data Structures and Algorithms, the system design you did, and questions about your resume projects/internships.

I applied through my university and it seems like there were over 700 applications. We all took an online test on the CodeSignal platform. The assessment was an hour long and included multiple-choice questions and two coding problems. This test can be quite random; even if you do perfectly, you might not get through. Fortunately, I was shortlisted after this round, and there were about 90 of us left. Then, we had a group discussion with around 20-25 people in each group. After that, 60 people were selected. Next was a general written test (not coding related). Following this, 35 students moved forward, and I was one of them. Then, the technical interviews began, and everyone was interviewed. It was quite basic, mainly a discussion about my resume along with some HR-type questions. About 30 students also went for the HR round. I made it to the HR round, but in the end, only 10 out of 30 were selected. I unfortunately didn't make it past this final stage.

I applied on Naukri on Nov 12, 2024, and got a call on Nov 21, 2024. The interview was scheduled for Nov 22, 2024. It was a 60-minute technical round. The job description requires Java software development experience, Windows/UNIX/Linux OS knowledge, understanding of software/testing methods, design models, and database structures. Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and Kustomize is needed, with exposure to Apache Storm, MySQL/Oracle, Kafka, Cassandra, OpenSearch, and API (REST) development. Familiarity with Eclipse, Subversion, and Maven is also required. The role involves leading major feature changes independently and requires excellent communication skills for discussing strategy with team members and product managers. A quality-driven work ethic with attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a geographically diverse team. Desirable skills include working within a hybrid Agile methodology, understanding scalable infrastructure design for data ingestion/aggregation/integration/analytics, and experience deploying applications into AWS or a private cloud. Exposure to Hadoop, JMS, Zookeeper, Spring, JavaScript, Angular, or UI Development is a plus.
