Technical Behavioral Presentation

A recruiter reached out about a Director-level Technology leadership position in Hyderabad and sent over the job description. It looked like a good fit, so I went ahead with the interviews. First, there was a technical chat with a Principal Architect, then I met with a Senior Director and the Head of Architecture. After that, I had an HR behavioral interview and then an in-person meeting at the office. Once all those were done, HR asked for my payslips and compensation info. Since then, though, it's been radio silence. I've tried calling and messaging to get an update, but no response at all. For a leadership role, this lack of communication is pretty concerning and doesn't speak well for Experian's TA team or their engagement practices, especially for senior candidates. Makes you wonder about the experience for others.

I was really looking forward to this job. The interviews went great, and the hiring manager even told me I passed and was moving on. But then, communication got messy. I reached out to recruiting, and they sent one reply, but they never confirmed what the manager said. They just said they were waiting for an update, which never came. After that, they ghosted me and didn't reply to my follow-up emails. Two weeks later, I got a rejection email. I can deal with rejection, but being left in the dark after being told I was progressing was tough. Job hunting isn't just a formality; people rely on these jobs to support their families. I hope they get better at being upfront with candidates. Even a quick update would have made this way less frustrating and shown respect for people who really need these positions.

This was a 1-on-1 with the manager, and they were really nice and friendly. They asked about my background, CS fundamentals, and my experience with distributed systems. We also discussed my favorite school courses and concepts related to distributed systems, as well as my past projects.
