Engineer
So after they look at your resume, they'll send you a link to do a recorded interview with about 4 questions. These are pretty standard behavioral questions, like asking what you'd bring to the team or a time you messed up. If that goes well, you'll have a live interview, either in person or over video, with a few people. Someone will be taking notes. The interview style and questions can differ based on who's interviewing and if it's for entry-level or more experienced folks. For me, it was around 8-10 questions, mostly behavioral and similar to the ones in the recorded interview.
- Describe a situation where a project encountered problems mid-way. How did you address it and proceed?
- Can you share an instance of failure you experienced during your work?
- Tell me about a time you were working on a project and something went wrong in the middle of it? What did you do to resolve it and move forward?
Training & Development Specialist
It started with a HireVue interview with 3-4 long structured questions. Then, within a week, I was scheduled for a second virtual interview with the hiring manager and a team member. They kicked things off by talking about the company culture and the role. After that, they asked 3-4 questions, and I had the chance to ask my own questions at the end. They mentioned another interview might be needed if they couldn't decide, which was a bit disheartening. However, after 2-3 weeks went by, I reached out to HR for an update but got no response. I emailed them again, still no response. So, they basically ghosted me. It was super frustrating and disappointing. Enbridge doesn't seem to value people's time or efforts.

My initial phone interview went really well. The HR person was super professional and friendly, and clearly knew their stuff. The call took about 20 minutes. We talked about my past work, my experience, and why I was looking for a new job. They also gave me a good rundown of what the job involves and explained what happens next – a recorded video interview and sending in a full application. They were upfront about the whole process and answered all my questions about the team vibe, how long it might take to get hired, and what they're looking for. Even though they weren't super technical, they shared some info from the hiring manager and asked some good questions about how I lead, work with others, and get involved in projects.
- What are your salary expectations?
- When would you be available to start?
- What motivates your interest in this position?
Software Developer
There were 4 interviews in total, including a phone call, a video recording, and two technical/behavioral interviews. The whole process took several months! They asked a lot of different questions, covering both behavioral and technical aspects. The managers kept asking questions like, "If they are on vacation and something critical happens, what will you do?" Since it was a junior position, I felt repeating that kind of question was not fitting for the role and its duties. This gave me the impression that it's possible this happens a lot when you're left to handle issues alone. Also, they didn't mention in the job posting that it was a junior position, but they told you during the interview. Overall, I really didn't like their hiring process. It was way too long for even a managing position, let alone a junior one!
