It was a really long hiring process, taking about 2 months total with 3 interviews. First, I had an HR call where they asked some basic stuff like introducing myself, salary expectations, location preference, if I knew Simapro, and if I was comfortable with lots of data. Then there was about a month of silence before the second interview with the future managers. This one was more about the day-to-day tasks, my current job, and some personality questions. The third interview was supposed to be at the Neuilly office where I would present some of my LCA work. I actually pulled out of the process because it didn't feel challenging enough. Overall, the interviews were direct, but the whole thing just dragged on too long.

A former employee referred me to the hiring manager. The Talent Acquisition Lead reached out and we had a conversation. After that, an interview was scheduled with the HR Partner and an Application Manager, not the hiring manager initially, which I found unusual. The interview itself went fine, but then I was ghosted. Despite trying to follow up multiple times, I received no response. It's surprising given how well-known this company is. Looking back, it was probably for the best that I didn't end up joining them. How a company treats potential hires really shows what the company culture is like.

So basically, first I had this phone call, like 30 minutes, where they wanted me to just talk a bit about myself, like who I am and what I do, and why I wanna work there. Then, I had this video call with some scientists. It was mostly a chill but technical chat about my background and how I'd tackle research problems. I didn't get an offer, but the recruiter gave me really good feedback right after. The whole thing felt super professional.

The hiring manager was not satisfied with my experience and showed a negative facial expression like shaking her head upon reading my resume. I feel that if a candidate's experience is not aligned with the position, they should not be invited for an interview. I'd rather be ghosted than be in a negative situation like this. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE EACH OTHER TIME. There was a final sensory test session, which thankfully I did not make it. A lot of progresses for an entry level position and mediocre pay.
