First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Diebold Nixdorf.
Supply Chain Coordinator
It was a 2 round process. First round had common questions like introducing yourself and some questions from your CV to check your communication skills. Second round involved technical questions about supply chain.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your hobbies?
- What do you understand by inventory?
Business Analyst
It took one month to get the first interview. Then, in the second interview, there were technical problems and no one showed up. I waited for 45 minutes, and no one contacted me to explain. We rescheduled for a month later, which meant two months had passed since I applied. Then, I waited another month for the third interview. I kept waiting and sending emails. After two more months, I finally got an email saying the job would be in another country. The whole process took 5 months.
- What have you done in your previous role that aligns with the requirements of this position?
HR Assistant
Last year, I interviewed with one of the three HR team members for an internship position. After the usual questions, I was asked a surprising one: 'If I make a mistake and yell at you in front of everyone, would you tell me?' My answer apparently didn't sit well with him as he called me a woman with 'character'. Also, the whole team was working remotely, and they expected the intern to be the face of HR on-site, without much of an integration plan, because, according to them, 'you can always reach the team on Teams.' As expected, I didn't hear back after the interview. No regrets.
- Situational question: Would you confront me if I made a mistake and yelled at you in front of everyone?
Software Development Engineer
I had an HR call first, where we discussed the job details and my experience with specific technologies and payment domains. Then, I went through Technical Round 1. It began with questions covering all the technologies I listed, plus some tricky ones. After that, there were coding questions where I had to provide explanations. Finally, I was asked to describe the architecture of my current projects and my role in the core layers. I passed this round. The next round was also technical. It involved good problem-solving questions. I admit I forgot some syntax. There were also in-depth questions about SpringBoot and Java; I managed to answer some but not all. Unfortunately, I was rejected after this round. The interviewers were professional and knowledgeable.
- What are your Java Core questions?
- Can you explain the Agile process?
- What are message brokers?
