First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Diebold Nixdorf.
Field Service Engineer
The interview was really short, only 15 minutes, probably because I'd worked for them before in Germany. It was super easy and the questions were basic. The interviewer couldn't decide right away, so they asked me to call back the next week. I did, but they still hadn't decided. A week after that, I called again. The manager was busy moving from California to Texas, but eventually, they called me back and I got the job.

Field Service Engineer
They reached out to me via my home phone number which they got from a job posting. They needed technicians fast, so the interview was quick and easy. Even though I have experience and training in the banking industry, I made it clear I wasn't keen on going back to that field. The interviewer tried his best to convince me to take the job, noticing my hesitation. This kind of mass hiring happens a lot because they regularly let go of people who can't handle the job's demands, and they also lose technicians due to those same demands.

Field Service Engineer
First, there was an interview screening by HR. HR asked questions on your experience and what you were looking for. If you passed that, the Area Manager would meet you face to face and tell you more about the company. Lastly, a senior Field Service Engineer would meet you face to face to examine your technical side. If all three liked you, then you would be set for ride-alongs followed by two weeks of training in the corporate building.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
- What are your expectations for this role?
