Project Manager
First I had a screening call with a recruiter in HR to check my general background and see if I was a cultural fit. Then, I had a call with the hiring manager where we discussed my history and experience, plus the technical parts of the job. After that, I went in for an in person.
- Can you describe your experience in project management?
Test Engineer
I had a phone screening where they asked if I was interested in the role. Then, there was an online interview with two people. One interviewer was quite unpleasant. I also had another interview for a different role, but I turned down the second round for that one because the first interview experience was negative.
- Can you tell me about the projects you've worked on?
Software Engineer
So this was for the Cloud Platform Co-Op role. I had one interview with two developers. One of them, like, asked most of the questions. They were pretty general behavioral questions and about the projects on my resume. They also asked some stuff about my general knowledge with certain technologies like Docker. A few days later, I got the communication that I would not move on due to my superficial knowledge of cloud technologies, which are the main focus of the role.
- Do you have experience with Docker?
Systems Engineer
I had a phone interview with two HR people. I was really excited about this job. The first interview got rescheduled an hour before it was supposed to start. Nobody called for the rescheduled interview, so I emailed them and asked to reschedule again. I got a response two days later with an apology. No worries, I was willing to try a third time. The third interview was with two HR people, and they asked me why I was applying and why I was qualified. I had a lot of experience and was passionate about the field. They said I would hear back in a few days for more interviews. I was excited! But, several weeks went by. I emailed asking for updates, and even got rejections for other jobs at the company, but never heard back about this position.
