The interview process was excellent, there was a lot of great communication with the HR team - did not have a technical interview with the engineering team, and did not feel like I needed to in order to get a sense of the company culture.

The whole thing took about six weeks, from late December to early February. It began with a phone screen, which was mostly about my background and why I was interested in DEKA. After that went well, I had an onsite interview in January with a panel of engineers and the hiring manager. They asked brain teasers and about my background. It was a pretty enjoyable experience. The hiring manager called me afterward to say they wanted to offer me the job and that HR would be in touch. The recruiter I was working with also said HR would contact me. However, a few weeks passed with no word from HR. The recruiter explained that some internal changes had happened and the position was on hold. I had to reach out to the recruiter multiple times during this period. Eventually, they told me the position had been filled by an internal candidate and the job was closed. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I'd happily interview with DEKA again. My main feedback is that the interview-to-offer timeline was a bit long, about 4-5 weeks, although I understand there were some unique circumstances in my case.

Had a chill phone screen first, then another screening that was a bit more involved. They had me come in for an onsite where they mainly asked about my past work. It wasn't super technical. Then I had another onsite with the manager. I got the offer before I even left the building.
