It was a phone call first, then one technical interview round. They gave me a coding assessment mostly in C++, but it was conceptual. Then some technical questions about mechanics and basic controls like PID, MPC.

I had a phone interview with two HR people. I was really excited about this job. The first interview got rescheduled an hour before it was supposed to start. Nobody called for the rescheduled interview, so I emailed them and asked to reschedule again. I got a response two days later with an apology. No worries, I was willing to try a third time. The third interview was with two HR people, and they asked me why I was applying and why I was qualified. I had a lot of experience and was passionate about the field. They said I would hear back in a few days for more interviews. I was excited! But, several weeks went by. I emailed asking for updates, and even got rejections for other jobs at the company, but never heard back about this position.

I applied online through job boards with my resume and cover letter. A couple of weeks later, HR emailed me about phone interview times. Two senior managers, likely working on the product I'd be on, interviewed me. The interview focused on my resume, like my projects and skills, and they also asked about my availability. After another week or two, I followed up with HR about the application status, and HR let me know I was selected and that they'd send the offer letter soon (I got it within a week).
