It was simple. If you prepared, it was easy. The first step was a technical phone screen. I'm not sure about the next step since I haven't heard back. The next step might be another tech screen or an onsite interview.

After applying online, I went through about a month of interviews, which were three in total. First, HR gave me a call and asked some technical questions about software, kinematics, and control theory. Then the hiring manager called and focused on my recent work history. I didn't like this call much because they kept cutting me off and seemed a bit arrogant. I was surprised to get an onsite interview at their HQ. There, I met with the control engineers I'd be working with on the project. Some of them were pretty late, like over 10 minutes, and the hiring manager was also late and didn't even apologize. This interview started with a rundown of the job and project, then dove into a deep discussion about my past work. The same hiring manager seemed more interested in what I could pull out of thin air and tried to argue about how I tackled past controls issues, which really annoyed me. They finished by asking me some brain teasers related to software and physics. Afterward, they told me I wasn't moving forward, which was fine since I already had another offer.

Had a 30 min phone call. The interviewer didn't seem to want to be there. I started explaining my research and work when they asked about relevant experience, but they cut me off after about a minute, saying they were busy and wanted to skip to questions. They asked a lot of pretty standard questions.
