First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DBS Bank.
Senior Java Developer Lead
I first got a call from foundit for an initial screening. After about a week, I had my first round of interviews, which led into three more rounds that happened one after another. It started with a coding test, then two technical interviews focusing on Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and DevOps. Finally, there was an HR round discussing company policies and salary.
- Can you tell me about the profiling you've done?
- What's your experience with Microservices?
- What do you think about Java?
Software Engineer
The interview process consisted of 3 rounds in total. There were 2 technical interview rounds and 1 behavioural round. The technical interviews were not focused on LeetCode-style problems. Instead, they were more conceptual, asking about familiarity with technologies like Redis and Java, and how frameworks operate, without delving into algorithms or time complexity.
- Can you explain how Redis functions?
- How does Kafka operate?
Software Development Engineer Intern
The process had 4 rounds, all structured. It started with an online assessment, then a technical interview, followed by a communication assessment, and finally an HR interview. The whole experience was pretty relaxed and organized, and they kept us informed about everything well ahead of time.
- Can you describe different methods for swapping two numbers?
- How would you implement binary search?
- Could you solve the trapping rainwater problem, similar to a LeetCode question?
Analyst
First, they looked at my resume and had a quick video call to see if I was qualified and interested. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager or recruiter to talk about my background, skills, and why I want the job. After that, there was a skills test to check my abilities. Later, I met with potential coworkers and senior people to see if I'd fit in. Finally, they made a decision, checked my references, and I got the offer.
- Can you introduce yourself and describe your experience as a Business Analyst?
