I got contacted by this consulting firm, Vipany, who then sent my info along for a Core Java/Spring role. It felt like a big recruitment thing, but invite-only. First up was a Java written test, pretty standard stuff, not really showing what you know deep down. It had SQL queries too. An hour later, they said I passed and my first technical chat would start. The interviewer first asked about my current projects, then dove into J2EE questions that weren't really what the job was about. They didn't try to find out what I was best at or dig deeper into my skills, just asked basic questions you can find anywhere online.

The interview process involved a HackerRank test first, then a technical interview covering everything on my resume. Next was a managerial interview, which was technical but not deeply. After that, a Director interview that was non-technical but intense. The final stage was an HR call about salary expectations. The worst part was after I was selected and they agreed to my requested CTC, they didn't release the offer for two weeks. When I followed up, they said my quoted amount was too high and wanted to negotiate. We agreed on a new amount, but then two days later they started negotiating again. Eventually, the offer was close to my current salary. The HR team was unclear and contradictory. It's not worth your time.
