DBS Bank Business Analyst Interview Questions
& Process

I joined DBS through the two years SEED programme for newly University graduates. The interview process included: an online assessment with MCQs and 2 coding questions, followed by a round of behavioral questions covering math and IQ topics. Then, there was a Hackathon, and finally, a Human resource call.

The interview process had a total of 4 rounds. The first was with the hiring manager, the second with the hiring manager and the head together, the third with HR, and finally, an aptitude test for character fit. The interviews were enjoyable and lasted at least an hour each. The whole interview part took about a month. The hiring manager kept me updated weekly about any delays. Then, pre-employment checks and package discussion took almost another month to get the official offer. This waiting part was quite painful because I knew I had the job, but it was taking longer than expected due to internal compensation negotiations.

First, I got a call from HR about the BA role to see if I was looking for a change. Then, I had interviews with an offshore person, an onshore person, the hiring manager, and another hiring manager over a month. After that, there was no contact for 3 months. I called weekly, and HR kept saying the hiring manager was busy and hadn't given feedback. Finally, they told me the position was on hold and they were closing the loop. After another 3 months (6 months total), they called again about the same profile. I agreed, and they asked for my documents for background verification. Then, I had an HR interview (my 5th interview), where they asked HR questions and discussed salary expectations. They said I'd hear back in 2 days after higher management approval. I called weekly for the next 2 months for feedback, but got none. I eventually gave up on the company and decided to withdraw my application.
