First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Daikin.
Production Engineer
I had interviews with the manager and then with the team. They asked questions about my experience with manufacturing processes and different scenarios. It was pretty straightforward. They asked a lot about how I would work with the production crew and how I'd react to things they might do.
- How would you go about solving a problem that we're currently facing?
- Can you tell me about your experience with manufacturing processes and scenarios?
- How would you collaborate with the production crew?
Functional Analyst
The interview experience was disappointing. The external interviewer focused mostly on my diploma instead of my 8 years of practical IT experience as a PM/PO. He dismissed my skills and said that without a master's degree, I could only expect around €2,000 net, which is much lower than my current market value (I've interviewed with startups and international companies, and my profile was valued at a minimum of €3500 net). His tone was dismissive, and I decided to stop the process, especially when he said "it's just a title."
- You were mainly asked about your CV during the conversation: your work experience, language skills (Dutch and English), etc.
- The conversation started positively, until the topic of "diploma" came up.
Sales Engineer
First, the team checks your resume and qualifications to see if you're a good fit. If you make the cut, they'll hit you up within a few business days. Then there's a quick call (30-45 mins) with a recruiter or hiring manager to chat about your background, what you're aiming for career-wise, and why you're interested in this gig. It's also your chance to learn about us. For some roles, you might have to do a quick assignment or an online test to check your skills. After that, it's a longer chat (45-60 mins) with the hiring manager and maybe some team folks. They'll dig into your experience, how you tackle problems, and if you'd vibe with the team. Lastly, there's a final interview to see if you align with our values, how you communicate, and if your working style fits. Sometimes a senior leader or someone from another team might join this one. If all goes well, we'll send you an offer with all the juicy details on pay, benefits, and what's next.
- Where do you envision yourself in five years?
IT Compliance Analyst
I applied in June, and the whole thing took five months, which was super frustrating and unprofessional. It started with an HR screen, then an online assessment, followed by a bunch of interviews, and a final one. But man, the communication was awful. It took weeks, sometimes a whole month, to get a reply to emails, and they barely gave any updates. When it came to the final interview, they wouldn't work with me on my issues coming onsite even though I told them clearly. I offered to do it virtually, but they were set on in-person and kept pushing the date back month after month. Then, out of nowhere, the interview invite just got canceled, and I got an automated rejection with zero feedback. Seriously, the lack of communication and responsiveness was unbelievable. Such a frustrating experience. I'd think twice before recommending anyone apply here.
