Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Daikin.
R&D Engineer
The interview process was good, but the questions were quite challenging for an entry-level position. Overall, it was such a nice experience to be interviewed by a globally known company such as Daikin.
- Can you explain how you would communicate technical terms to individuals without a technical background?
R&D Engineer
Had a 15 min chat with HR about myself in English. Then a 90 min f2f interview with the R&D manager covering airflow, aero-acoustics, vibro-acoustics, and heat transfer. It was mainly about logic and basic knowledge.
- Could you tell me about yourself?
- Can you discuss noise sources induced by air and those induced by vibration?
- What do you know about SEER and SCOP?
R&D Engineer
The interview was really nice and the panel of interviewers treated me well. There were 3 interviewers, and the process wasn't stressful at all. Besides some standard interview questions, we talked about my background, like my education and past jobs. The whole thing lasted about an hour.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
- Could you discuss your previous work experiences and the lessons you gained from them?
