The entire process was handled by a staffing agency, and I couldn't get any replies from Change Healthcare despite emailing them. I had one hour-long Microsoft Teams interview with some of the team members. The post-interview experience was really bad, with a lot of miscommunication, false information, outright lies about the status, and then they just went silent after missing their own deadline. Looking back, I'm glad it didn't work out, even though they said they were expanding fast with lots of openings. The culture seems like it must be pretty bad if they think lying and dishonesty are okay.

A recruiter reached out and I had a short call with her. Then I was scheduled for a group interview over video call. I thought the interview went well and I liked the people who interviewed me, but I declined the offer because they wouldn't meet my salary expectations, which were at market rate. The recruiters were also difficult to work with; the first one gave me the wrong time for the group interview and it was hard to get clear answers on benefits. I was told I'd only get 16 days of PTO per year, which seems low for healthcare, and it doesn't increase for two years.

I had a great experience with multiple interview rounds with peers and leaders. The questions were challenging, and I received candid feedback. They seemed genuinely interested in my background, how my experience could benefit the company, and what I would gain from the role. They also focused a lot on culture fit.

First interview went great, we had a lot in common and I had the background to move into the role right away. They said they'd contact me immediately to set up the next interview, but then went silent. I reached out twice and was ghosted. Months later, Change contacted me three times to ask how the interview process went or, my personal favorite, why I declined the role I wasn't offered. I responded to the first contact but I'm not responding anymore.
