First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cambridge Associates, LLC.
Associate
The interview process involved behavioral questions and a case study at the end. The questions were really interesting and focused on how you would handle different scenarios, with a strong emphasis on finance and economics. Having a background in that area would definitely make it easier.
- Describe a time you had to make a decision when you didn't have all the information available.
Performance Reporting Associate
The interview process involved several stages. It started with a take-home case study, which was followed by technical screens and a presentation. Some parts felt a bit repetitive because the same questions were asked by different interviewers. The case study itself was pretty simple, mostly checking basic Excel skills and formulas.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Summer Analyst
First up was an HR chat that was all behavioral. Pretty standard stuff like strengths/weaknesses, teamwork, and handling criticism. Then, the second part involved two behavioral interviews and a case study.
- Can you share an instance where you received criticism and what you took away from it?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell me about a time you worked as part of a team.
Investment Analyst
The initial interview involved two team members, a manager and an associate, who were both quite approachable. This first stage was typical, focusing on my background, reasons for applying, and my understanding of their work. The subsequent round included an Excel test and a case study, which was hampered by poor equipment and a very late supervisor, cutting into the allotted time.
- Can you walk us through your background and explain your interest in finance?
- What is your understanding of our company and its operations? Specifically, why are you interested in CA?
- How do your friends typically describe you?
