& Process

So at Xoriant, the process had a few steps. First, there was an online assessment with MCQs on aptitude, programming basics, and core CS stuff, mostly checking if I knew the theory and could think fast. Then, I had two technical interviews. The first one was about programming basics, data structures, and algorithms, plus explaining my academic projects to see if I got the core concepts. The second technical interview was tougher, with scenario-based and practical questions, and I had to go into more detail about my projects, focusing on how I actually use my knowledge. After that, there was a managerial interview where we talked about problem-solving, teamwork, and how I deal with situations – it was more of a chat than a strict technical test. Finally, an HR interview wrapped things up, covering my background, strengths, career goals, and stuff like joining, relocating, and expectations. All in all, it was a pretty smooth and organized process, with each stage testing different skills.

xoriant is super quick with their interview process, only 3 rounds total, 2 technical and one manager round. It's not too hard to get through all rounds at xoriant. They don't really have one set way it goes, but it usually starts with them looking at your resume, then maybe a phone or video technical screen, followed by deep technical interviews where they check your core knowledge and how you solve problems, and finally an HR chat to see if you're a good fit.

My interview for the Angular role at Xoriant was pretty bad. It felt unprofessional and rushed from the start. The first interviewer didn't even say who he was and seemed really uninterested, like he didn't want to be there. He asked me just a couple of questions, and after I answered them, he just passed me off to someone else without explaining anything. The second person didn't introduce himself either and didn't ask any follow-up questions. When he was done, he just said, "Our HR will call you," and that was it. I never heard from anyone after that. No feedback, no follow-up, nothing. It left a terrible impression. Honestly, they need to make sure interviewers introduce themselves, act professional, and give some sort of conclusion or next steps. It's important because how they treat candidates shows their company culture. It was a really disappointing experience.

Applied through Naukri and got shortlisted for a Technical Interview. The first two rounds were technical and went smoothly. The third round, which took place the following week and was conducted by Xoriant, was also technical but heavily focused on behavioral questions. For instance, I was asked what I would do if I were the only tester. They also asked about API Testing and some login page test cases, along with other questions they deemed 'meaningless' and a 'waste of time'. Despite completing all three rounds, I was rejected because my skills were not matched with the company's requirements. The interviewer in the third round was very rude, expecting more knowledge than my actual experience. It was a very time-consuming process.
