First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Xoriant.
UI Developer
I got referred by a recruiter and then I had an interview at Xoriant in April 2025. The first round was a React JS L1 Round. The interview had JavaScript programming questions.
- Can you explain what a closure is and provide an example program for a closure function?
- How would you write a program for frequency count in javascript?
- Using the array ['a', 'b', 'a', 'c', 'b'], create an object representing the frequency count: {a: 2, b: 2, c: 1}.
Senior UI Developer
It was a requirement for a UI (React) developer role. I attended four interview rounds and passed them all. The first three rounds were technical, and the fourth was a client round where I also had to complete an assignment. I cleared all rounds as confirmed by HR. I'm currently waiting for an offer, but the company has put the opening on hold, according to HR. However, another HR person contacted me about the same position. The company should plan better to avoid wasting candidates' time. I'm really disappointed with how this interview process went.
- Could you explain what React hooks are?
- Define a functional component.
- Explain the process of implementing routing within an MVC.NET framework.
Senior Frontend Engineer
First I had a recruiter call that was mostly introductions. Then, within 3 days, a technical round was scheduled focusing on basic JavaScript. I got an email clearing it after that. A week later, I had a second round, a machine coding session where I had to build a frontend using React Native. It went really well and the interviewer was cool. After clearing that, a system design round was scheduled in 2 days. I thought it went well, but I didn't pass. I guess a system can be built in many ways, but maybe they expected something specific.
- Can you provide a polyfill for promise.all?
- Can you provide a polyfill for reduce?
- How would you create a custom hook to count the number of renders?
