Digital Campaign Specialist
I applied around 2 weeks ago and got a pre-screening call from a recruiter. It was a really bad experience, he was super rude and impolite, talking to me like I was nothing. He questioned my career switch to marketing even though I have a degree in something else, and doubted my certified skills despite me sending proof with my resume. He sighed a lot, said 'Ughh,' and sounded bored and annoyed throughout the call, implying I was wasting his time. It was so unprofessional. If he thought I wasn't qualified, he shouldn't have called me, but he did and then insulted me. Maybe it was a bad day for him, but recruiters should always be professional. This attitude makes me not want to continue, as it probably reflects the company culture and I don't want to be in a discouraging environment. Interviews are for both sides to evaluate each other, and I'm evaluating them too.

Project Manager
The interview process started with a standard HR call to discuss salary and requirements, and everyone seemed to be on the same page. Things moved quickly after that, but after 4 rounds and a mock presentation, the momentum stopped, and it felt like they were just stringing me along. For about two months, HR claimed key decision-makers were on vacation. It became clear I was being kept on the backburner when the job description changed online. I was finally told they liked me but wanted to offer a lower title and pay me $30k less than my stated requirements. They cited a lack of specific experience, which I possess and is reflected on my resume, yet this was never discussed during the interviews. It's baffling why a company would offer a salary significantly below a candidate's stated needs, essentially setting up a situation where the candidate would be a flight risk from day one for a better opportunity. My salary expectations were in line with previous roles in the same city, and such a substantial pay cut would have made me feel undervalued. The entire experience felt like a waste of time and effort, and the operational sloppiness was a major red flag. If this is how they treat potential employees, I can only imagine the internal operations.
- Can you create a presentation mockup demonstrating a strategy to increase a client's customer base?
Group Account Director
It was a really long interview process. I had to make three presentations and got great feedback on them, and they said they were going to offer me the job. I actually withdrew from three other good jobs, which I know wasn't the best move. Then, they added a final interview last minute, and it got moved around a bunch before it finally happened. During that last interview, one person's internet kept cutting out, and the other person was on mute and was super rude. The questions weren't about my skills, and it was a terrible experience overall.
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
Intern
The interview process at Wunderman Thompson is a detailed process to check your skills, background, and if you're a good fit. It starts with a screening call, either phone or video. If that goes well, you'll have more interviews, maybe in-person or virtual, with different people like hiring managers, team members, and leaders. These interviews will cover your experience, what you know, and how you can help the company. Expect questions that test your behavior, technical skills, and how you'd handle situations. You'll also get chances to show off your creativity, problem-solving, and how well you communicate.
- Could you introduce yourself and explain your interest in Wunderman Thompson?
- What experience do you possess that is relevant to this internship?
- How do you manage situations with tight deadlines and competing priorities?
