Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wunderman Thompson.
Intern
The interview process at Wunderman Thompson is a detailed process to check your skills, background, and if you're a good fit. It starts with a screening call, either phone or video. If that goes well, you'll have more interviews, maybe in-person or virtual, with different people like hiring managers, team members, and leaders. These interviews will cover your experience, what you know, and how you can help the company. Expect questions that test your behavior, technical skills, and how you'd handle situations. You'll also get chances to show off your creativity, problem-solving, and how well you communicate.
- Could you introduce yourself and explain your interest in Wunderman Thompson?
- What experience do you possess that is relevant to this internship?
- How do you manage situations with tight deadlines and competing priorities?
Intern
I took pre-recorded situational judgement questions. I didn't pass to the next stage but I didn't find the interview too difficult. It's a good idea to check the company values and go through their website to know how to approach answering different questions. The overall process was a positive one even though I didn't pass.
- Tell me about a time you worked as part of a team.
Advertising Intern
The interview process involved giving a presentation and creating a short marketing plan. The entire interview, including the presentation, took about 1 to 2 hours. However, they were slow to respond about our acceptance, even though we mentioned our final OJT partner deadline.
- What was the meaning behind our previous advertisement, and how effective was it?
