I'm glad this didn't work out in hindsight, but the interview process at WebFX left a bad impression. It involved a phone screen, a long written test with about 20 questions, and then a third interview. All the questions were behavioral, with no real check on my technical skills. Some of the written questions were a bit too personal or strange, like asking about how I paid for school, what I'd do if I wanted to leave after half a year, and what parts of the job I wouldn't like. Also, communication was all over the place. First, they said the job was taken, then they called me back weeks later to start over because of unexpected growth. After the last interview, they posted the job again, and I eventually got an automated rejection. It would have been more respectful if they were more upfront and had a more personal closing. It felt disorganized and impersonal overall.

I've never had such a disappointing and humiliating interview experience. I went through three rounds for an entry-level role, including a long written interview with personal questions. Everyone was nice, and they showed a lot of interest, even giving me an office tour. I was expecting a fourth and final interview when I got rejected. Their feedback was a generic response. It's strange they couldn't find a place for someone they supposedly loved, especially since those positions are still open months later. It felt like my time was just wasted. I don't know what they're looking for, but they won't find it by rejecting good candidates. Avoid this company if you don't want false hope, especially as a new grad. It's not worth the stress.

The interview process started with a 30-minute phone call, then a written interview and a form for employment/education history, followed by a video or in-person interview. The phone interview was unusual, focusing more on why I chose my major rather than my current job skills or freelance experience. It felt like a casual chat about my resume, though the interviewer was nice. After that, I received a lengthy written interview and an employment history form. The written part had 2 questions about availability and visiting HQ, 11 long questions, a ranking of 10 qualities, links to social media/websites, and two human verification questions. These seemed pretty standard, but the employment history form was too personal. It asked about how I financed my education and summer spending. For each job over the last 15 years (including self-employment, summer, and part-time jobs), it asked for starting/ending salary, successes, mistakes, likes/dislikes, and supervisor ranking. It also asked if I'd be willing to arrange reference calls with past supervisors and requested to follow my personal social media. This felt too invasive, especially the education financing question, and made me distrust them as an employer.

This company's interview process was a bit different, but in a good way, in my opinion. They really focused on getting to know me as a person, which I liked. The questions were mostly about soft skills and how I approach work, not so much about my past experience, which felt appropriate for an entry-level role. The interviewers were very nice and made me feel comfortable. While the process did take a while, I appreciated that they kept me informed about the timeline and never left me wondering what was next.
