I'm glad this didn't work out in hindsight, but the interview process at WebFX left a bad impression. It involved a phone screen, a long written test with about 20 questions, and then a third interview. All the questions were behavioral, with no real check on my technical skills. Some of the written questions were a bit too personal or strange, like asking about how I paid for school, what I'd do if I wanted to leave after half a year, and what parts of the job I wouldn't like. Also, communication was all over the place. First, they said the job was taken, then they called me back weeks later to start over because of unexpected growth. After the last interview, they posted the job again, and I eventually got an automated rejection. It would have been more respectful if they were more upfront and had a more personal closing. It felt disorganized and impersonal overall.

There were four interviews in total. The first three were video calls, and the last one was in person. All of them were behavioral, but one technical question was asked in each. A questionnaire was also sent after the second interview.

After the initial screening, there was a round where I had to answer several technical questions. If I didn't know an answer, the interviewer would move on. I got all of them right, and only 20 of us moved forward. The next round was System Design, which was pretty hard because you need to create an efficient real-time system. My task was to design a web portal for college placements. The interviewer was helpful and gave me the requirements. I started with a prototype, and then he analyzed it, asking questions and having me scale it up. It was mostly about communication, ensuring the client gets what they need effectively. I handled all his questions and he liked my design. In the end, 9 people were invited for the HR round.
