First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Verisure.
Sales Representative
First, you get a call from them to discuss some practical matters. After that, there is a team session. If that goes well, you will be invited for an in-person interview. Everything was fine, and I went through all the steps. They told me during the in-person interview that I would likely hear back the same day whether I could start. During the in-person interview, this was moved to the end of the week. No problem with that, my application was on Monday, so I decided to wait until Friday. The week passed without any news from Verisure: no email, no phone call, nothing... Then I decided to contact them myself and call the number of the employee who helped me throughout the application process. She told me she was in a meeting and would call back the next morning. The next morning, you can guess it: NOTHING... I decided to call again but ended up on voicemail this time. I left a message and waited. Meanwhile, two weeks have passed, and I have made at least 10-15 attempts to call again, but I always end up on voicemail and hear nothing more from them! Communication is an absolute zero! I was also supposed to be notified of any negative feedback. It is a disgrace that such a large international company is so lax with its applicants. This is extremely unprofessional and frankly just laughable!

After my CV was selected, I had a brief initial chat with a recruiter to see if I was a good fit for the role. The first formal interview was with the department manager, who gave me an overview of the team and the technical aspects of the job. The next step was an interview in English with an HR Manager, focusing on my English level and contract terms. Once I passed that stage, I visited the Pozuelo de Alarcón offices, where my future manager and the recruiter showed me the workspace and we discussed the job responsibilities in more detail. Finally, there was a short meeting to finalize the contract details.

Manager
So I was approached by Verisure for a confidential role, to replace someone not doing too well. Went through multiple in-person interviews over two months, with recruitment, sales, and the UK Country Head. A fourth round was planned but didn't happen because the interviewer got sick. I got really good vibes throughout, like I was exactly what they needed. After all that, I expected them to get in touch professionally, but nope. Complete silence for almost four months. I sent polite follow-ups, nothing. Only when I sent a really firm email did they finally call and say the job went to someone internal. They even admitted their Glassdoor reviews are usually bad, and they had to push employees to post positive stuff. Seems like they have high turnover, confused team structures, and the UK leadership is directionless, just copying France instead of making their own strategy. Ghosting candidates like that after they've invested so much time and effort in face-to-face interviews is seriously disrespectful. Glad I dodged that bullet, honestly. I'd tell others to steer clear.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
- How do you think you'd fit into the company culture?
Alarm Receiving Ambassador
My interview was on teams. They asked if I understood working to protocols and for job related questions like an example of a time where I worked as part of a team, 3 examples. Also asked for an overview of the company and what a typical day looked like in my old job, this was almost 5 years ago as you are invited in for an interview now. Newbies have said they show you an image from an alarm trigger and ask you what you notice ie dust which indicates a door or window may have been opened stirring up the dust. Attention to detail is key.
- Did you understand protocols and what did that mean to you?
- Give an example of a time where you worked as part of a team.
- Tell me about your understanding of protocols and what that means to you.
