Product Designer
This was an 8 round process that ultimately didn't result in an offer. I felt the recruiter was not upfront about the number of rounds or the time commitment. The interviewers themselves were great people with good questions, and I enjoyed meeting with actual stakeholders. The process involved a classic whiteboarding exercise, but the senior designer leading it seemed disengaged, making the exercise feel doomed from the start. It's a shame because I would have gladly helped fix this messy hiring process, but the lack of transparency and the poorly managed pipeline make me not want to apply again.

Security Analyst
My interview experience with this company was really bad and unprofessional. I cleared the first interview with the hiring manager, and then the TA team set up four more interviews with different teams. But, two of those interviewers didn't show up on time and didn't say anything. I tried to get help from the TA team, but they took too long to reply. It was annoying how they didn't communicate or organize things, and it felt like they didn't care about my time. In the end, I just got a standard rejection email with no explanation or feedback, even though I spent time and effort on the multiple interview rounds. I felt disrespected the whole time. I wouldn't suggest this company to anyone based on this.

Sales Development Representative
The interview process at Vanta was super fast and professional. It went like this: First, an HR screening call to chat about fit and your background. Then, a Hiring Manager Interview for a deeper dive into the role and what they expect. Next up was a Sales Simulation, a joint interview with a Sales Manager and a Senior Account Executive. This part included a mock cold call to see your sales skills in action. Lastly, a Sales & Revenue Operations Round, which was a technical/functional chat with someone from the RevOps team. Everyone was really respectful and prepared, asking good, relevant questions and giving me time to ask my own. It felt like a fair process and a good reflection of how professional Vanta is.

Sales Manager
The process kicked off with a 30-minute recruiter chat, then a meeting with the Hiring Manager for EMEA Sales. After the recruiter talk, I got an automated email with hiring process details, timelines, requirements, and some PDFs. The coordinators were on the ball with scheduling. The Hiring Manager interview was kinda meh, some basic stuff and some that needed work. He was a few minutes late, didn't apologize, and fired off questions really fast, leaving hardly any time for my questions. When I asked about the GTM org, he just said "Intense." When I pushed, he described an environment that scrambles monthly to hit targets even though they're quarterly. This suggested poor planning and unnecessary pressure due to lack of prep. Digging into targets, they seemed ambitious, so the low rep participation made sense. I asked for feedback from both the recruiter and HM but never got it. I also sent the HM a thank you via email and LinkedIn right after, but no response. I'm bummed not to move forward but relieved given the red flags and lack of courtesy. As an interviewer myself, I always respond to thank yous, especially to candidates we pass on. The lack of professional etiquette, question style, answers, and insights shared didn't make me want to work for the HM or Vanta.

Vanta Interview Questions
Quoted word for word from Vanta interview reports.
“Can you determine if a mapping from an array to a string holds true, meaning the mapping doesn't change? For example, given array=[1,2,1] and string='dog cat dog', this should return True. However, with array=[1,2,2] and string='horse dog cat', it should return False because the mapping for '2' to 'dog' changes.”
Read reports →“Considering a 2D array and the constraint of picking one choice per iteration, can any combination of choices satisfy the string condition? For instance, with array=[ [1,2] , [1,4,5] , [6] ] and string='hello hello person', the result should be True. But with array=[ [1.3] , [1] , [3] ] and string='hello bye person', it should be False because 'person' must map to '3' and 'bye' must map to '1'.”
Read reports →“Could you write a function that takes a data structure representing dependencies and a target ID, and returns all dependencies leading up to that ID, followed by the ID itself? For instance, given input like all = [ {id:1, dep:[4,5]}, {id:4, dep:[6]}, {id:5, dep:[]}, {id:6, dep:[]} ], a call like func(all, 1) should produce 6,4,5,1.”
