TTP reached out about a potential role. I went through two HR screening calls, which seemed fine, but then I didn't hear back for weeks, which was annoying considering I prepped and interviewed. I mentioned it to a contact there, and a few weeks later, I got a rejection citing 'not enough experience,' even though they had my CV and LinkedIn. So, it felt like a waste of time with no real learning.
- Can you introduce yourself?
Software Engineer Intern
We have a process that's meant to be enjoyable and makes you think, and it's candidate-friendly. We look at your technical skills and how you solve problems, all while working together. It starts with checking your application, then we have an interview, either in person or online, where you'll do some technical challenges and solve real problems. We want you to be creative and show us how you think. We try to make it a comfortable space so you can show your best and also see what it's like to work here in our innovative and busy culture.
- Could you answer some technical questions about hardware architecture?
Biomedical Engineer Intern
The technical interview was 1 hour and 30 minutes long and was divided into three sections. Two sections focused on specific teams, and one section involved reviewing and discussing my CV and previous work. The questions were related to topics I mentioned being comfortable with, and some were questions I'd seen on Glassdoor before. The key thing they look for is how deeply you understand a topic; they'll keep probing in the same area to see how far you can go. This was a technical screen that also involved some behavioral questions about my experience.
- Given two identical balls by mass and appearance, one solid and one hollow, how would you distinguish between them?
Intern
The final step was an on-site assessment day. The first interviewers were pleasant and posed questions on algorithms and signal processing. However, the next interviewers were not welcoming. When I offered to introduce myself, one remarked, 'we have already seen your CV.' The first question was immediately 'why did you even apply for this, you are not CS by background?' delivered condescendingly. Throughout the interview, he seemed frustrated, trying to steer me to a specific answer and even commented, 'I tried to direct you, but you couldn't even do it.' His demeanor was very off-putting. We were told feedback and results would be provided within two weeks, but this didn't happen. After following up, I was informed of a delay, followed by weeks of silence from the recruiter. Another follow-up led to a rejection within 10 minutes by the recruiter.
- Regarding signal processing, design an algorithm.
