The interview process had three parts. First, there was an HR call to see if I was interested and a good fit. Then, I had technical rounds with some team members that lasted 2 hours. Finally, there was another HR call for discussing the offer and negotiation.

The final step was an on-site assessment day. The first interviewers were pleasant and posed questions on algorithms and signal processing. However, the next interviewers were not welcoming. When I offered to introduce myself, one remarked, 'we have already seen your CV.' The first question was immediately 'why did you even apply for this, you are not CS by background?' delivered condescendingly. Throughout the interview, he seemed frustrated, trying to steer me to a specific answer and even commented, 'I tried to direct you, but you couldn't even do it.' His demeanor was very off-putting. We were told feedback and results would be provided within two weeks, but this didn't happen. After following up, I was informed of a delay, followed by weeks of silence from the recruiter. Another follow-up led to a rejection within 10 minutes by the recruiter.

So I had this HR interview first, which was pretty standard stuff, though she really pushed me to say where else I'd applied. Then I had a technical interview with a consultant. It was harder than I thought it would be. The consultant seemed pretty checked out during the interview. I think I messed up the first question, and he didn't seem engaged after that. Some of the questions didn't even fit my background, and I felt like I didn't get a chance to really show what I know in my field. It was like he was reading my resume for the first time right then. They sent a rejection email and offered to give me detailed feedback, which sounded good. But when I called, the person just read a generic feedback form that basically summarized the interview, which wasn't helpful at all. It seems like they don't want to give specific feedback. Still, it seemed like a good place to work, and the people seemed really good at their jobs.
