Engineer
The recruiter asked me about my salary expectations in the initial Teams interview, and I gave an honest answer. I asked about the salary for the role, but they wouldn't tell me until I came in for an in-person interview. That seemed like a red flag.
- What motivates you to want to work for TTP?
Engineer
Had an HR chat, then two technical interviews, each about 75 minutes long. The questions felt a bit out of the blue, and there wasn't enough whiteboard space to really sketch out ideas. The general vibe was, "We're awesome, what can you say to convince us to hire you?" One technical question went on forever without any hints, and the "brilliant" answer they finally revealed was a super specific, slightly misleading solution for anyone with broader experience than the interviewer. You guys are probably really good at what you do, but it wasn't the right fit for us. Keep looking for those rare candidates, TTP...
- Can you introduce yourself?
Engineer
The hiring process had 3 steps: a phone interview, a technical interview, and an interview with the managers. The phone interview was a casual conversation. The technical interview was pretty long, about 4 hours, and covered physics topics like dynamics, electrical circuits, and fluid dynamics, as well as algorithms, specifically how to identify a pattern for sorting test results. These were conducted by the staff, who were all very nice. I got through the first two stages, but didn't make it past the third. The manager interview was meant to be a discussion about your past projects and future goals. One of the managers was 40 minutes late, kept taking calls on his phone, and seemed to be going through the motions. I wasn't hired because they felt I lacked ambition. They did reimburse me for my travel expenses.
